Get started now: How to Add or Manage User user guide.
Nodinite authenticates each User using Windows built-in Windows authentication. This mechanism applies to end-users accessing the Nodinite Web Client and the Web API.
The built-in Auditing ensures that all sensitive User operations are recorded in the Nodinite Audit Log.
A User in Nodinite is matched by IIS to an existing Windows Domain account or local Windows user (when operating in Workgroup mode). All non-Windows users must provide valid Windows domain credentials to log in. If an end-user is not explicitly defined or part of a Windows AD Groups, they are not allowed to use Nodinite.

A User is associated with one or more Roles either implicitly using Windows AD Groups or explicitly by assigning individual Users to each Role.
You can manage Nodinite Users from the Administration section of the sidebar in the Nodinite Web Client.
Here's an example of the Users menu item in the sidebar as seen from within the Nodinite Web Client.
