Users Overview

The Users Overview, under Administration → Access Management → Users in the Web Client, is where a Nodinite Administrator manages individual Users. A User is a named Windows account that gets access through the Roles it is assigned to. Users exist in Windows Authentication mode only; in OIDC/OAuth 2.0 mode you use Claims and Policies instead.

  • ✅ One list of every individually named User
  • ✅ Add, edit, delete, restore, and export Users
  • ✅ Filter, sort, and copy the API URI for custom Reports
  • ✅ Open a User to see its Roles and effective permissions

Understanding Users

People reach Nodinite either as an individual User or as a member of a Windows AD Group. Both are assigned to Roles, and permissions from all Roles add up.

Use When
Individual Users External partners, temporary access, a person who needs a unique Role combination, or a personal Mail address for alerts
Windows AD Groups Teams and departments, so access follows Active Directory membership (on while UseActiveDirectoryGroups is true)
