External Instances Overview

See every other Nodinite environment you can export configuration to, in one list. This page is where administrators add, edit, delete, and restore External Instances.

  • ✅ Filter and find any External Instance
  • ✅ Add, edit, or delete registrations as environments change
  • ✅ Include deleted registrations to review or restore them

An External Instance is another Nodinite environment, registered by the address of its Web API, and used as a direct target for Export in Import / Export. Open the list from Administration › Settings › External Instances in the Web Client.

Important

The Import / Export feature is disabled in Nodinite 7.0, so exports don't use External Instances for now. Use the Web API to move data between instances.

The External Instances list

The plug icon shows each registered instance; open it by name or from the Action menu.

From this page you can:

  • Filter the list by typing characters into the filter text box.
  • Add a registration with the Add External Instance button; see Add or manage External Instance.
  • Edit a registration by clicking its name or choosing Edit from the Action menu.
  • Delete a registration from the Action menu. Deleting is a soft delete.
  • Include deleted External Instances to show deleted registrations and restore them; see Show deleted records.
