AllowRepair - System Parameter

AllowRepair switches the Repair and resubmit feature in the Web Client: users edit the payload of a logged message (Log Event) in a Log View and send it again. Repair builds on Resend, so it only works while AllowResubmit is true.

How It Works

A user can Repair a Log Event only when all four conditions hold. The first two are global System Parameters; the last two are Role permissions on the Log View.

# Setting Where
1 AllowResubmit = true System Parameter, the master switch for Resend and Repair
2 AllowRepair = true This System Parameter
3 Allow Resend permission The Role on the Log View, see Resend
4 Allow Repair permission The Role on the Log View, see Repair

When you repair a message, you pick a transport such as File, MSMQ, ActiveMQ, or Webhook. ResendWebhookSettings configures the Webhook targets, and ResubmitContextValuesForActiveMQ sets which context properties travel with messages resubmitted to ActiveMQ. The repair steps themselves are described in What is a Log View?.

Choosing a Value

  • Keep true (default) and grant Allow Repair only to the Roles that should edit payloads, see Add or Manage Log View.
  • Set false to turn off Repair for everyone while keeping plain Resend available.
