CustomerName - System Parameter
The CustomerName System Parameter holds the name of the licensee, the organization the Nodinite ProductKey is issued for. The two values form a pair: a product key is valid only with its customer name. You view and change both on the Manage License page, not in System Parameters.

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Key | CustomerName |
| Data type | string, for example Contoso |
| Default | Entered on Manage License together with the ProductKey |
| Read by | Web Client / Web API (licence check) |
| Takes effect | When you save on Manage License |
| Status | 🔒 Read-only (value never shown in System Parameters) |
How It Works
- Read-only here. System Parameters lists the key but never shows its value, and you can't edit it there. Change it under Administration › Settings › Manage License.
- Part of the licence. The customer name is built into the ProductKey, so a new customer name always comes with a new product key. Enter both on Manage License; the name must match the licence exactly.
- Shown in the Web Client. The Web Client header shows the customer name next to the environment; see Menu - Environment.
- An invalid licence blocks the Web Client only. Background processes keep running.
