ProductKey - System Parameter

The ProductKey System Parameter holds the Nodinite licence key. Together with CustomerName, it proves your right to run Nodinite. You view and change the licence on the Manage License page, not in System Parameters.

How It Works

  • Read-only here. System Parameters lists the key but never shows its value, and you can't edit it there. Change it under Administration › Settings › Manage License, where you enter the product key and the CustomerName it belongs to.
  • Installers can set it. A new product key is often included with a download from the Nodinite Portal; see Manage License for automatic renewal.
  • Paired with CustomerName. A key is valid only together with the customer name it was issued for.
  • An invalid or expired key blocks the Web Client only. All background processes, such as the Logging Service and Monitoring Service, keep running, so logging and monitoring continue while you get a new key.

Frequently Asked Questions

My product key is invalid or expired. What do I do?

Get a new key from the Nodinite Portal, from your partner, or from Nodinite Support (give your CustomerName), and enter it on Manage License.

Can I get warned before the key expires?

Yes. Set up the Web Service Monitoring Agent to check the licence and alert you before it expires.
