Uninstalling the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server
This guide provides a step-by-step process to safely uninstall the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server. Follow these instructions to avoid common pitfalls and ensure a clean removal from your environment.

You must restart BizTalk Host Instances configured as Send Handlers for the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server.
Prerequisites
Meet the following conditions before uninstalling the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server:
- Terminate all active service and message instances.
- Remove all send ports using the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server.
Before you uninstall
Ensure all prerequisites are met and review this guide before starting the uninstallation process.
Perform the uninstallation steps during an announced, pre-approved service window.
The host instances associated with the Nodinite LDAP adapter (send hosts) must be restarted. This might temporarily disrupt your run-time.
Caution: Multiple versions of the Nodinite LDAP Adapter may co-exist. Remove all installations; repeat the steps as necessary.
Uninstall steps
- Make sure no running service instances are using the LDAP adapter.
- Ensure there are no suspended messages destined for the LDAP adapter.
- Stop the 'Send Hosts' using the LDAP Adapter. This may involve stopping receive locations and orchestrations. Ensure no more messages are published to solutions using the LDAP adapter.
- Remove (or re-configure) all send ports using the LDAP Adapter to be uninstalled.
In the Send Ports view, review the list of send ports using the Nodinite LDAP Adapter for Microsoft BizTalk Server, then sort on Transport Type.
Review all send ports using the LDAP Adapter before removal. - Remove the adapter from the BizTalk group using the BizTalk Server administration console.
- Start the host instances to resume normal operations of your Microsoft BizTalk Server environment.
- Exit the BizTalk Server Administration Console (group hub).
- Unregister the LDAP Adapter on every node where the adapter is installed.
Repeat on all nodes
- As an Administrator, log on with RDP to the BizTalk processing node.
- Open an administrative command prompt.
- Navigate to the location where the adapter is installed.
- Execute the following command to unregister the LDAP Adapter:
IS.BizTalk.Adapters.LDAP.InstallationClient.exe /u
If there were no errors reported during the un-registration process, exit the command prompt.
- Execute the MSI package and select the option to uninstall.
Post uninstall steps
- Update your installation documentation/wiki/sharepoint and inform stakeholders about the new state of the environment.
- Cancel the SA agreement if this was the last installation and the product should no longer be used.
