Install Nodinite Monitoring Service

The Nodinite Monitoring Service synchronizes your Monitoring Agents, evaluates Resources, and sends alerts through Alarm Plugins. It ships with the Core Services: you don't install it on its own. In Nodinite v7 you configure the environment in the Nodinite Portal, download a ZIP, and run the generated CLI package in an elevated PowerShell 7 prompt, as described in Install Nodinite v7. Check the Monitoring Service Prerequisites first.

What You Set for the Monitoring Service in the Portal

The Portal recommends the same identity for the Monitoring Service and the Web API when possible.

When you run the recommended workflow (validate, dry-run, deploy), the CLI:

Creates the Monitoring Service IIS web site and application pool with the port, TLS binding, and identity from the Portal
Deploys the Monitoring Service binaries to the install path
Together with the other Core Services, deploys the Configuration Database that the Monitoring Service reads its settings and System Parameters from

In IIS Manager, check that the Monitoring Service web site and its application pool are started.
Open the Web Client and check the Monitoring Service state in the Status menu.
Register a Monitoring Agent and confirm that its Resources appear.
