Web Client Troubleshooting Guide
This guide helps you resolve common issues with the Nodinite Web Client. The Web Client is part of Core Services and depends on IIS, the Web API, and the authentication mode chosen in the Portal, as described in Prerequisites. Knowing these dependencies helps you prevent and resolve issues.
Common Problems
- Allow browser pop-ups – Downloads and exports don't open
- Login prompts for password – Windows Authentication, Kerberos, and access issues
- HTTP SPN for IIS – Register HTTP SPNs so Kerberos sign-in is transparent
- NTLM vs Kerberos Authentication – Pages are slow because the browser fell back to NTLM
- IIS Authentication settings – Understand your IIS authentication configuration
- FIPS – How secure is your Windows?
- Uninstall Web Client – Remove the Web Client when needed
Settings that change what users see, such as hidden Log View values or the environment name in the header, are System Parameters; see System Parameters that shape the Web Client.
