Files Overview
The Nodinite File Library makes shared non-image assets easy to manage and reuse in Repository documentation and metadata.
With Files, you can:
- ✅ Upload shared files once and reuse across many pages and entities
- ✅ Keep runbooks, schemas, and guides centralized
- ✅ Link files from Articles and Shared File metadata
- ✅ Govern allowed file types with SharedFilePolicy
What Is the File Library?
The File Library stores reusable shared files such as PDF documents, spreadsheets, schemas, and package files. Instead of uploading the same file many times, teams can reference one shared file from multiple places.
This improves consistency and reduces duplication.
Why This Matters for Non-Admins
Non-admin users need fast access to trusted runbooks, partner documents, and implementation assets. A shared file approach keeps links stable and content easier to find.
| Need | What Files provides |
|---|---|
| One version of shared documents | Central File Library |
| Reusable references in docs | Shared File links in Articles and metadata |
| Better governance | SharedFilePolicy control for file behavior |
Access and Configuration
Users with Repository access can consume shared files. Administrators can enforce upload and usage rules through SharedFilePolicy.
