Find an order by Order Id

A customer asks about an order and you want the answer now, not after a ticket to IT. With a Nodinite Log View you type the Order Id and see every logged step of that order, across all the systems it passed through.

  • ✅ Find any order by its Order Id in seconds
  • ✅ See which systems handled it, and when
  • ✅ Self-service: do it yourself, from your browser, with the access your role gives you

When you need this

A customer calls about order 12345 and you can't see it in the ERP. Did it ever arrive? Did it stop somewhere on the way? Is it still on its way?

What you need

  • Access to a Log View for orders. Your administrator sets up which orders you can see, and which fields you can search on, in a Log View assigned to your Role. If you don't see one, ask them for access.
  • The Order Id, or another value the Log View can search on (customer number, invoice number — whatever Search Fields your administrator has made available).

Do it

  1. In the sidebar, open Log Views. You see the Log Views you have access to; type part of a name in the filter box to narrow a long list.

  2. Click the Log View for orders. Depending on how it's set up, results may load right away.
  3. In the search fields at the top, type the Order Id in the Order Id field (the field names are whatever your administrator named them), and set the date range wide enough to cover when the order was placed.

  4. Click Search.

What you'll see

One row per logged event for that order, sorted by Log Date Time, newest first. Each row shows when the event happened and which integration or system it came from, so you can follow the order from system to system. If the Log View groups events by order, you get one row per order that you can expand.

Nothing found? Widen the date range first — it's the most common reason. Then check the operator next to the field: click the field and pick Equals or Contains as appropriate.

If it doesn't work

  • You don't see any Log Views, or not the one for orders: your role doesn't have it yet. Ask your Nodinite administrator to add it to your Role.
  • The Order Id field isn't there: the Log View doesn't have that Search Field yet. Your administrator can add it.
