Preferred Method: Portal-Based PowerShell Script
In Nodinite v7, agent uninstallation is automated through the [Portal][NodinitePortal]-based PowerShell scripts. This modern approach:

Nodinite version 6 (Add or Remove Programs - Legacy)
Warning
The Add or Remove Programs uninstallation method for Nodinite v6 is deprecated and will be retired. Please upgrade to Nodinite v7 for the modern Portal-based scripted uninstallation experience.
Before You Uninstall
Important
Remove Nodinite configurations BEFORE uninstalling the agent to prevent errors and maintain a clean environment.
Required Configuration Changes
- Remove Log Views - Delete all [Log Views][] that use this agent as the data source
- Remove Log Agent Configuration - Delete the [Log Agent][Log Agents] entry from Administration
What Happens If You Skip This?
If you uninstall without removing configurations:
- ❌ Log Views become unavailable - Users see errors when accessing views that depend on this agent
- ❌ Log Agent appears broken - Configuration shows as unavailable in [Log Agents][] list
- ❌ Cleanup requires manual intervention - You'll need to log into Nodinite to remove orphaned configurations
Uninstall Methods
The Nodinite [IBM Integration Bus (IIB / ACE) Logging Agent][IBM Integration Bus Logging Agent] can be uninstalled by running the installer directly or by using 'Add or Remove Programs' in Windows.
Step 1: Uninstall guide
Follow the steps below to uninstall the [IBM Integration Bus Logging Agent][].
Option 1: Add or remove Programs

Open Windows Programs and Features (or Add or Remove Programs), locate the IBM Integration Bus Logging Agent, and select it to begin the uninstall process.
Option 2 Start the installer
Double-click on the MSI file to start the un-installation of the IBM Integration Bus Logging Agent.

Run the MSI file to start the uninstallation process.
Step 2: Welcome screen
On successful execution of the MSI file or starting from 'Add or remove programs' a Welcome screen is presented.

The Welcome screen confirms the uninstallation process has started.
Click the 'Next' button to continue the installation process or click the 'Cancel' button to quit the installer.
Step 3: Change, repair or remove installation
In the 'Change, Repair, Remove' dialogue click the 'Remove' button to uninstall the agent and proceed to the next step.

Click Remove to uninstall the agent.
Files in Use
If you did not stop the Service before uninstalling, Windows may display a files-in-use dialog. Click 'Ok' or 'Ignore' to continue with the uninstall.
Step 4: Remove program
Click the 'Remove' button to remove the agent and proceed to the next step. Confirm removal to proceed.
Step 5: Ready to remove
Click the 'Next' button to remove the agent and proceed to the next step.

If the service is running you will see the following modal:

Check the 'Close the applications and attempt to restart them' option.
Click the 'OK' button to stop the agent and proceed to the next step.
Step 6: Completed setup
The last step of the un-installation gives either a success or a premature exit.
