Eliminate MQ Queue Overflow with 10GB Buffering

Challenge: Retail: 15 IBM ACE broker nodes emit Monitoring Events to SYSTEM.BROKER.MONITORING.EVENTS MQ queue (MAXDEPTH 5000 messages = ~800MB). Network maintenance window (Saturday 2 AM - 6 AM) prevented Nodinite agent from consuming MQ messages for 4 hours. Queue filled to MAXDEPTH, 370 new Monitoring Events rejected (IBM ACE couldn't publish, events lost). Monday morning batch reconciliation failed—missing 370 Order Confirmation transactions.

Solution: Increase SYSTEM.BROKER.MONITORING.EVENTS MAXDEPTH to 500,000 messages (~10GB). Configure Monitoring Profiles to emit compressed payloads (GZIP). Nodinite agent consumes with MQGET batch size 100 messages (parallel processing). Saturday maintenance windows now buffer 12-24 hours of events (typical 4-hour window generates 85,000 events = 1.8GB queue depth).

Outcome: Zero event loss during 6 network outages (4-8 hour windows). Batch reconciliation 100% success rate (was 92% with event loss incidents). Operations team confidence in audit trail completeness. Business impact: SOX compliance maintained (complete transaction audit trail mandatory for financial reporting).
