Uninstalling the Nodinite Boomi Integrations Monitoring Agent

This guide walks you through the process of fully uninstalling the Nodinite Boomi Integrations Monitoring agent. Follow these steps to ensure a clean removal, avoid unwanted alerts, and maintain a healthy monitoring environment.

Option 1: Portal-Based PowerShell Script (IIS-Hosted Agents)

For IIS-hosted agents installed via Portal-based scripted installation:

Automates agent removal via PowerShell commands
Removes multiple agents simultaneously with consistent settings
Eliminates manual uninstallation steps and reduces human error
Centrally manages uninstallation from the Portal
Properly removes .NET 10 Hosting Bundle dependencies

Option 2: MSI Uninstaller (Windows Service Agents) New 7.2.0

For Windows Service agents installed via MSI:

Method A: Add or Remove Programs

  1. Open Add or Remove Programs (appwiz.cpl)
  2. Search for Nodinite Boomi Monitoring Agent
  3. Click Uninstall and follow the wizard
  4. Service will be stopped and removed automatically

Method B: Run MSI Directly

  1. Double-click the original MSI installer file
  2. Select Remove option in the wizard
  3. Click Finish when complete

Nodinite version 6 (Manual IIS Uninstallation - Legacy)

Warning

Deprecated: The manual IIS uninstallation method is legacy and intended only for v6 IIS-hosted installations. This method is not recommended and will be retired in future versions.

Important

Version 7.2.0+ Users: If you are uninstalling Boomi Monitoring Agent v7.2.0 or later, use either the Portal-based uninstallation method for IIS deployments or the MSI uninstaller for Windows Service deployments. The manual IIS uninstallation below is for legacy v6 installations only.

You should remove the Monitoring Agents and applicable Resources in use within Monitor Views before uninstalling the agent.

If you uninstall the agent without removing the Monitoring Agents alerts with errors will be sent to users. Also, the Monitoring Agent Configuration will be listed as unavailable in the list of available Monitoring Agents

Uninstall guide

Follow the steps next to uninstall the Nodinite Boomi Integrations Monitoring agent.

Step 1: Stop the Application Pool

In this step, you will make sure files are no longer being used.

  1. Open the IIS management console (inetmgr)
  2. Stopthe IIS App Pool. The default as documented is Nodinite - Boomi Monitoring

Step 2: Remove Web Application

In this step, you will remove the IIS Web Application.

  1. Make a note of the folder being used. Or even better open the containing folder.
  2. Remove the Web Application from the IIS management console

Step 3: Remove Binaries

In this step, you will clean up the file system.

  1. Navigate to the parent of the installation folder, the default as documented is c:\inetpub\wwwroot\Nodinite\
  2. Delete the BoomiMonitoring folder
