How do I configure workflow alerts for specific Dynamics 365 workflows in Nodinite?

Use Nodinite Monitor Views to filter workflow alerts per team/environment/workflow type:

Example 1: Sales Team Workflows Only

  • Create Monitor View "Sales Workflows" filtered by: Workflow Name starts with "Lead" OR "Opportunity" OR "Quote", assign to Role "Sales Operations Team"
  • Sales Operations dashboard shows only Sales-related workflows (LeadAssignment, OpportunityScoring, QuoteGeneration), alerts only fire for Sales workflow failures (Service/Marketing workflow failures not alerted to Sales team)

Example 2: Production Environment Only

  • Create Monitor View "Production Dynamics Workflows" filtered by: Environment = "Production" (exclude Sandbox/UAT), assign to Role "IT Operations Team"
  • Operations team sees only Production workflows, alerts fire 24/7 for Production failures, Sandbox/UAT failures not alerted (development failures expected)

Example 3: Critical Workflows to On-Call Team

  • Create Monitor View "Critical Business Workflows" filtered by: Workflow Name in ["PatientAppointmentConfirmation", "LoanApplicationProcessing", "OrderFulfillment"], assign to Role "On-Call Engineer"
  • Configure Alarm Plugin routing: Errors in "Critical Business Workflows" view → PagerDuty (24/7 on-call response required), Errors in other workflows → Email (business hours only, no PagerDuty escalation)

Alert Granularity

Filter by Dynamics instance (Sales/Service/Marketing), environment (Sandbox/UAT/Production), workflow name (exact match or starts-with/contains), workflow status (Running/Stopped), execution error rate threshold (>5% for critical workflows, >20% for non-critical).
