Can I monitor multiple WSO2 environments (Dev/Test/Prod) with one agent?

Yes, as long as the agent's Spring Boot JMX Gateway can reach the JMX port of every WSO2 server. One JMX Monitoring Agent can have several JMX Gateways, and each gateway can have many Application Hosts, one per WSO2 JVM (Multi-JVM Monitoring).

One Agent or One Per Environment

• One agent works when the network allows the gateway to reach the JMX ports in every environment. Name the Application Hosts so the environment is obvious, for example WSO2-EI-PROD-01.
• One agent per environment is common when Production is in a separate network zone, or when you don't want a firewall opening from Test into Production. The JMX firewall section lists every hop to open.

Environment-Specific Thresholds and Alerts

• Set different CPU and Heap Size thresholds per Application Host, for example tighter values in Production (Environment-Specific Thresholds).
• Build one Monitor View per environment, and connect each view to the right Alarm Plugins: Production to on-call, Test to an email or chat channel.
