BizTalk Example Set

This set models a realistic BizTalk-centric Order-to-Cash landscape that mirrors how many on-premise customers actually operate: BizTalk Server as the integration hub between business systems and external parties.

Each page holds ready-to-import C4 Diagrams markup in Mermaid. The examples are import-friendly in Nodinite: they use explicit C4 element kinds and strong technology labels, so Component Types and icon suggestions become meaningful immediately after you import them into a C4 Diagram Set.

What You Learn

  • ✅ A classic BizTalk hub-and-spoke context.
  • ✅ Runtime building blocks (receive and send ports, orchestrations, routing, and tracking) in a container view.
  • ✅ Implementation artifacts that map cleanly to Azure Integration Services in migration planning.

Diagrams in This Set

Diagram Purpose
L1 Context Diagram Example Show the business landscape with BizTalk as the integration hub. This BizTalk context diagram is the starting point.
L2 Container Diagram Example Show BizTalk runtime blocks and core protocol flow patterns in a BizTalk container diagram.
L3 Component Diagram Example Show BizTalk artifacts by receive, process, transform, and deliver layers in a BizTalk component diagram.

Read the pages in order (L1 → L2 → L3) to follow the C4 zoom hierarchy. Already running BizTalk Server with Nodinite? You can generate C4 Diagram Sets from your BizTalk Applications instead of authoring them by hand.
